I wish the devs were given more time to polish and expand but whats here is solid AA material. It got rushed because of Embracer's BS but hopefully the devs can keep making stuff like this.
The "visible seams", so to speak, are the jank of the melee, and the lack of variety between enemies and campaigns. It's hard not to imagine a much better game if this had a bit more money and maybe another 8 months of dev time.
But like I said, solid enough, luckily.
Hopefully there's a bigger sequel.
Also, Jodie Comer should be in more games.

Disappointing. Short for its price, convoluted story, clunky combat, just 3 or 4 types of copy/paste enemies, traversal stutter and object popups.
Playing as the other protagonist is almost identical.
Buy only on sale, at least 50% off.

The game isn't bad per say, but it has serious flaws that made me decide not to finish it. Its worse flaw is that it performs absolutely awful. It was literally unplayable for me at launch due to the frequent stuttering, and it's still bad even after the patch. So much so that, when I shoot an enemy, the game freezes because it can't render that basic blood effect apparently (lmao). I can't aim because of the lag, cutscenes are frequently broken, and sometimes my character just disintegrates the fabric of reality.

In addition to this, the combat is awful. The revolver Edward gets is so weak that it is practically unviable (I didn't play as Emily, so I don't know if she gets something different), melee is awkward with your character moving with every swing in a way that is sporadic and impossible to control (leading to you circling an enemy rather than hitting it), and enemies can and will stunlock you in a corner where even dodging won't really get you out.

The game genuinely made me sick to play, which is not something any game has ever done to me before. I think it was the bizarre effects the game has, down to subtly moving the camera when zoomed in to a puzzle. Turning off most of those effects allowed me to play the game without getting nauseous, and it may be some sort of problem unique to me. Regardless, I still want to warn any future players about this.

The game is very overpriced. It should cost at most 40 USD, but instead the game is as expensive as a AAA game. Get it on sale if at all. Would not recommend.
